A slow, gentle paced class for someone looking for new and interesting ways to move, stretch, stimulate and revitalize the body, this weekly class can also be beneficial to the regular hoop dance practitioner as a way to refine their movements with the hoop and/or to further train their body in a comfortable and safe environment.
A series of movements will be used with smaller to medium sized hoops for stretching, balancing and slowly moving our bodies in harmony with the hoop.
There will be no spinning of the hoops in this class. Think: Partner Yoga for you and your hoop. Get more intimately acquainted with your hoop by learning to find creative balancing points on your body where it can rest with ease. Use the hoop as a tool to help align the body in stretches. Incorporate yoga poses and movements to free up tight areas in the body to help deepen your access to your Hoop Dance Flow or just movement in your body for all that you do.
No previous experience is necessary.
Come with an open mind and comfortable clothes you can move freely in.
Hoops and mats will be provided, but if you have your own, feel free to bring them along.
The class will be held at Rosemary Court Yoga in studio room #3 from 6:00-7:15pm. Park in the parking lot beyond the gate.
Drop-ins are welcome for a $15 fee.
Monthly class passes can be purchased for $40. (Unless the month has 5 Mondays.)
